Our guest speakers were Rev. Otto O’Conner, Minister of The First Parish in Malden and Rev. Elizabeth Nguyen, the Senior Strategist for Standing on the Side of Love. They speak on their formation experiences as ministers and their vision and strategies for building a beloved community. Together we explored what it means to build a prophetic ministry, and how to center anti-racist, anti-oppressive practices in our ministries. We also had an opportunity for break out groups to reflect our own experiences in building and sustaining a beloved community.

Speakers for the first Ministerial Formation Network (MFN) Webinar on Innovative Models of Community Ministry were Rev. Ashley Horan, the Executive Director of the non-profit Minnesota Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Alliance, and Kim Sweeney, founder of Courageous Faith Consulting and author of "The Death of Sunday School and The Future of Faith Formation".
Our speakers for the second MFN Webinar on Innovative Models of Community Ministry were Rev. Erik W. Martínez Resly, who founded and now co-directs The Sanctuaries in Washington, DC, and Rev. Kimberley Debus who works as an entrepreneurial community minister in the Capital Region of New York State, inspiring congregations to more artful and art-filled worship.
Our Third themed MFN Webinar was on Building Interfaith Partnerships and took place on Friday, April 20th 2018. Our presenters shared about their own journeys in interfaith work and about building partnerships in their communities. The touched on the challenges of interfaith organizing and how to build bridges with religious leaders of diverse faith traditions. We were joined by Rev. Abhi Janamanchi, Rev. Linda Olson Peebles, Rev. Joseph Santos-Lyons, Rev. Sara Ascher and Rev. Eric Cherry.
