Charge: The Committee on Leadership Development is charged with creating and implementing the Board’s strategies for ensuring robust and diverse leadership, and supporting the Board and the Executive Director in identifying potential UUMA leaders.
The Committee is charged with creating and enacting systems, structures, and processes to ensure seamless pathways for leadership for Members from helping Members become qualified to lead, through their time(s) of service, and after Members have completed their service.
The Committee is also charged with creating systems for assessment, training, support and appreciation.
The Committee is also charged with aiding Members in understanding and embracing the value of service to the UUMA as an activity that is coordinate with their own professional development.
Accountability: The Committee on Leadership Development serves at the appointment of the Board of Trustees and reports to the Board. To facilitate accountability and communications, the Board will designate a Board Member to serve as liaison to the Committee.
