This year the Board of Trustees, in partnership with the Center for Ethical Living and Social Justice Renewal, is arranging opportunities for engagement in the community beyond the convention center and hotels. These opportunities include a Pre-Ministry Days Monday evening visit to "Justice and Beyond," a local coalition organizing around issues of importance to the New Orleans's community - especially the black community; and Tuesday afternoon visits with the Harry Thompson Center (which is a unique ministry to people without housing) and A Community Voice (organizes for social and economic justice for low to moderate income families). Special registration for these and other opportunities will be available in April. In order to be fully prepared for Ministry Days in New Orleans, the Board of Trustees urges all UUMA members to engage with the UUA General Assembly "Get Ready" materials.
All of our events will be held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Registration begins March 1, 2017. Please register as soon as possible; everyone benefits when we know how many people to expect. Keep in mind that the deadline for early registration is April 30. There are financial incentives for early registration. Here are some helpful links to get you started:
