A Farewell from the first UUMA Intern: Emily DeTar Birt

The sand was colder than I expected, but the night was perfect. As I looked over the ocean at Asilomar, I was amazed that any ministry could take me to a place like this. My internship with the Unitarian Universalist Minister's Association has taken me to several places across the country - California, North Carolina, Chicago, Boston, and New York. But more importantly, it has taken me to very special places along my discernment to ministry.
When I started the internship in January of 2015, I was highly interested in what entrepreneurial ministry might be, through admittedly knew little about it.
