The Fund For Unitarian Universalism awarded two grants to the UUMA last week for upcoming programs.  The funding panel gave $16.000 to assist with the costs for our third UUMA-wide conversation, "Where Leads Our Calls?”, a conversation about nurturing excellence in ministry and our calls in the midst of a rapidly changing religious landscape.  "Where Leads Our Calls?” will build on the conversations begun in the first two conversations, “Whose Are We?” and “Where Are Our Neighbors?”  The panel also awarded the UUMA a $15,000 grant to assist with a new book project about the challenges for ministers of color and Latino/a ministers serving culturally white institutions. The UUMA’s Committee on Anti-Racism and Multiculturalism, will host a conference to reflect on these issues and will work with Skinner House to publish a book, tentatively titled, Reflections on the Visible and the Invisible in Ministry.

The Fund for Unitarian Universalism has awarded the UUMA $105,000 to support many projects since 2009 including the first two UUMA-wide conversations, UUMA Connect and the Institute for Excellence in Ministry.
