Exciting News from UUTRM!
The UU Trauma Response Ministry board is thrilled to announce that we have received a grant from the UU Funding Panel! This grant is in support of the UUTRM Infrastructure Development Project.
Requests for help from UU congregations and communities have grown dramatically over the past few years placing greater administrative stress on volunteers. This grant will help build administrative infrastructure enhancing communications, fundraising capacity, training and volunteer support.
A substantial element of this grant request includes the hiring of a part-time administrator to support the work of UUTRM through increasing our communication and fundraising capacity, strengthen coordination with volunteers and the board.

UUTRM Board of Directors
UU Trauma Response Ministry (UUTRM) is a non-profit 5013(c) independent organization dedicated to responding to crisis and trauma situations in Unitarian Universalist Congregations. The UUTRM Administrator is a new position of UUTRM provided by a grant from the UU Funding Program. The administrator will be responsible for developing an administrative infrastructure to support the overall Trauma Response work of the organization.
Salary: The grant provides $15,000 for the year. To be configured at 15 hrs./wk. at $20 /hr.
Location: The administrator will work remotely.
Supervision: The administrator will be supervised by select UUTRM board members.
Skills: The ideal administrator must be able to work independently. This position calls for a self-starter with a strong administrative and technological skills. Anti-oppression training is an important and helpful asset. Two years of work experience in an administrative capacity is required.
This person will be responsible for the overall achievement of the four goals below:
Goal One: To enhance UU-wide awareness of UUTRM through greater communications.
To Upgrade communications capability by upgrading the current website.
Create a greater PR presence, including electronic and written brochure materials to be distributed to congregational, regional and UUA outlets, including ad placement in The World.
Goal Two: To increase fundraising capacity
To acquire appropriate data base technology and create new database of recipients, donors and volunteers for fund raising efforts.
To create a minimum of two major fundraising appeals (donor and/or Faithify).
Goal Three: To Strengthen Volunteer and Congregational Coordination and Training
To expand the number of Congregation Preparedness Workshops by expanding congregational awareness of availability (PR)
Update responded/volunteer records, create job descriptions and identify new volunteer opportunities
Goal Four: To Facilitate Board Coordination
Expand Board Capacity to offer CISM Training through UUTRM
To provide partial support for a yearly in-person board retreat.
