Beloved Community Ministers:

We want to start a UUMA chapter focused on community ministry. Our hope is to explore and learn ways a UUMA chapter dedicated to community ministry could enhance our individual ministries, help organize, share resources, and link our voices together.

Our initial working group is comprised of chaplains and entrepreneurial ministers. We are seeking other voices and perspectives because we believe that collaboration with colleagues will help us organize, plan, and execute a more effective vision.

Recognizing the wide diversity in community ministry, it is our hope that we can establish a chapter with structure that allows for focus areas within community ministry while still leveraging shared resources and leadership.

If you are a community minister, we hope that you will take our brief 6-question survey.

If you are interested in helping organize and lead, please feel free to contact us at with your willingness, availability, and interest.

In Faith,

Rev. John Cooper, Rev. Andrew Mertz, and Rev. Jami Yandle
