Heather Collins received her B.A. in history from Arizona State University, and her M.Div. from Duke University in 1993. Heather’s current ministry setting is Covenant HealthCare System where she manages the Clinical Pastoral Education program, educates CPE students, and serves with the Chaplains when needed. Heather moved to Saginaw in 2015 with her husband, David, after they completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. Heather was ordained as Unitarian Universalist minister in 1995 by the UU Congregation of Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, GA where she served for five years. She entered the field of pastoral care and education in 2000 and directed the Chaplaincy Services Department at the Atlanta Medical Center for twelve years before she resigned to hike a sabbatical. Heather enjoys the ministry of caring for people, and of teaching helpful skills for artful ministry. She and David still like to hike but are now glad to walk and bike around more locally.
