Please join us for an act of justice on the evening on Juneteenth, led by the local organizers of the Poor People's Campaign. The PPC is a national moral movement which the UUA has outwardly supported because of it's undying wish to unite the nation across historic and oppressive divisions. In the spirit of Universalism, this movement takes serious opposition to militarism, racism, poverty, and environmental segregation. This action will culminate six weeks of non-violent direct action in statehouses across the nation, and the events of the Juneteenth will be informed by this work. More communication will come during Ministry Days and you may join a collegial conversation on Tuesday before participating. The UUA is one of few denominations that have outwardly supported the Poor People's Campaign, so don't miss this chance to enact your duty as the leaders of this movement! Now is no time to remain silent! Please wear vestments as you are comfortable.
