UUMA Connect Launches Today!
Share |

It’s the moment you've all been waiting for: the official launch of UUMA Connect, the new online continuing education and collegiality hub for UUMA members. Come check it out!  You can sign in using your regular username and password.

When I first started talking to folks about UUMA Connect last summer, I heard a common yearning—a yearning for more connection, more collaboration with their colleagues. People were excited about the prospect of a place to go for resources and information that would help them grow as ministers, but were even more excited about the way this site might help us grow as a collegial community. In the focus groups we held in weeks leading up to this launch, I heard echoes of that same yearning, but this time it felt like the solution was closer at hand. People were excited to connect with colleagues they might otherwise never meet; excited to be part of a learning community where collaboration is more important than competition; excited to have a place where
all UUMA members can share and learn and grow together.

In many ways, UUMA Connect is cutting edge. It is new technology, a new way of interacting, and a new mode of learning. In other ways, it’s based something very old-fashioned: being in relationship with one another. The new technology provides a platform, a framework, but it is all of us who will bring UUMA Connect to life. Come join us as we begin to build a more collective, more collaborative, more connected UUMA. I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
