Why Entrepreneurial Ministry?
The UUMA is partnering with the UUA, as well as leaders of business schools, seminaries, and nonprofit organizations to create an in-depth educational experience for ministers and religious professionals/lay leaders to get the skills and resources needed to lead adaptive and innovative programs in congregations and beyond that serve Unitarian Universalism today.
This program is for:
Entrepreneurs – Ministers who are planning to launch a brand new venture in congregational or community ministry, or something we haven’t seen yet.
Intra-preneurs – Ministers who are planning to launch a new program or innovative approach within their existing organization.
Experienced ministers – With a few exceptions for ministers in Preliminary Fellowship with proven experience and a well-developed project plan, this is for ministers in Final Fellowship.
Approximately 30-40 colleagues, including those from other faith traditions, will be chosen to participate in this intense two-year program which will begin in early 2015. Members of the class are expected to attend four 3-5 day retreats, videoconferences and meetings between retreats, and be available to their colleagues as facilitators and coaches after the program ends.
