Discover the power of your authentic public voice. This workshop will provide the opportunity to improve your ability to speak from the heart and encourage others to take action on the justice issues about which you are most concerned.

Have you ever struggled to connect with others in your congregation on social justice issues?  Would you like to transform the social justice ministry at your congregation and also build stronger connections with your wider community?  Or, maybe you’ve wished you could be more effective when speaking with your legislator about an issue you care about?  If so, this workshop is for you!

There is a $15 registration fee for this event, but if you’d like to request a scholarship grant you may do so when registering for the event.  There will be a light lunch provided.

This workshop is facilitated by seasoned activist, author and UU minister, Rev. Stephen Shick. Rev. Stephen teaches the art of speaking without notes as a CENTER Presenter for the UU Ministers Association.  He is minister Emeritus at the UU Church of Marlborough and Hudson and the author of, "Be the Change" and "Consider the Lilies."  For 12 years he served our faith nationally as the founding Director of the UUA's Peace Network and then the Director of U.S. Programs for the UUSC.
