|Opportunties at the UUMA|
There are a variety of opportunities available to work with the UUMA in paid and volunteer positions.
The UUMA, directed by the Beyond the Call 3 (BTC3) Design Team, seeks proposals for a training consultancy to engage in detailed curriculum design and to co-lead three weekend intensive retreats between Spring 2018 and Fall 2019. The goal of BTC3 is to equip and nurture Unitarian Universalist (UU) clergy leadership for effective prophetic ministry. Our intention is to contract with an individual or team of trainers who will work in close coordination with UUMA Staff and the BTC3 Design Team.
As we do, we are carefully reviewing the “Interim Hiring Procedures for UUA Staff” report shared by the three former Interim Co-Presidents of the UUA.
We share the goal of dismantling oppression within our faith community and the commitment to a “robust ‘equal opportunity’” approach to hiring. We hope you will help us share news of our request for proposals, especially with people whose identities are marginalized in our society.
Please contact the UUMA Acting Executive Director, Rev. Melissa Carvill Ziemer to submit your proposal or with any questions. Additional information about the goals of the program can be found here. An overview of our initial design work can be found below. Proposals are due by September 6, 2017. Melissa and members of the design team, Rev. Joseph Santos-Lyons and Rev. Elizabeth Nguyen, will interview and select consultants by the end of September.
