Making a Pledge/One-Time Gift/Installment Gift

The UUMA payment system process pledges, one-time gifts, and monthly giving using the same donation form. All gifts types (one-time, installment, or pledge) are referred to as a donation.  

Making A Pledge

  1. Log in to your profile (to assure your gift is connected to your profile)
  2. Navigate to the secure online donation form.  
  3. Select Pledge as your payment option and complete the rest of the form.
  4. Once submitted your pledge will become an invoice.  Follow the directions below under "Paying Your Pledge"

Making a One-Time Gift

  1. Log in to your profile (to assure your gift is connected to your profile)
  2. Navigate to the secure online donation form
  3. Select a payment method other than pledge and complete rest of the form.
  4. Paying by Credit Card: enter your payment information and hit submit.
  5. Paying by Check: Upon submitting the form you will see a link to an invoice.  If you are planning to send a check, print the invoice and mail your check to UUMA; 24 Fanrsworth Street, Boston, MA 02210

Pledging by making automatic monthly payments

  1. Log in to your profile (to assure your gift is connected to your profile)
  2. Navigate to the secure online donation form.
  3. Select Credit Card or ACH/E-Check as your payment method.
  4. Under the Donation Type select "Split this Donation into Monthly Payments". To pay your pledge monthly over the course of 3 years select 36 months.
  5. Complete the rest of the form and enter your credit card information.

Making a Legacy Pledge

Giving an end-of-life (“legacy”) gift or bequest is a central way you can support the future of our ministry. The UUMA is working in collaboration with the UUA, the UU Service Committee, Starr King School, Meadville-Lombard Seminary, and the Church of the Larger Fellowship to making legacy support of our faith and its many central organizations easier. This collaborative campaign, Wake Now Our Vision, will kick off in January of 2017. We hope you will return to arrange your legacy gift at that time, when cash matching gifts of $1K to $10K will be made possible for many such donations. thanks to the generosity of the Shelter Rock congregation. View and manage your donations online

Every donation you make to the UUMA, either a pledge to the endowment, a life member contribution, or scholarship donation is listed on your donation page.  When you are logged in to the system you can see all your donations by navigating to My Profile: Donations.  Click here to visit the page.

Paying your pledge in full:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to: Manage Profile: Donations. Click on the green box  next to your open pledge.
  3. Enter your credit card number and click submit payment.
  4. A link to a receipt will be sent to your email address.

Making partial payments on a pledge:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to: Manage Profile: Invoices. Click on Donations and your pledge should be listed there. 
  3. Click on the green box  next to your open pledge.
  4. In the section entitled “Payment Information” there will be a white editable block pre-filled with the outstanding balance of your pledge.  Change the number in the box to the amount you wish to pay.
  5. Enter your credit card number and click submit payment. 
  6. The amount will be reduced from your ‘outstanding balance’ and a link to your receipt will be sent to your email address.

 Special Note: Some users have reported not being able to see the white editable box from certain browsers or platforms. If you cannot see the box we encourage you to contact the office at 617-848-0498 or, if you credit card is already on file, send an email to office@uuma.org with the amount you would like us to charge.

Paying in automatic monthly installments:

To begin making payments to your pledge on an automatic monthly basis you should use the Share A Wedding/One Time Gift/Automatic Pledge Payments link on the giving page.

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to: Giving: Giving to the Campaign: Share a Wedding/One Time Gift/Automatic Pledge Payment.
  3. Enter your pledge amount and select "Split this Donation into Monthly Payments" (We suggest 36 months so your pledge can be paid off in three years.
  4. Enter your credit card number and click submit payment.
  5. A link to a receipt will be sent to your email address.

Updating credit card information:

Changing the credit card with which you are paying automatic monthly installments towards a donation is simple.

  1. Log into your account and click on "manage profile"
  2. Under "Invoices, payment, and history" click on the "Donations" tab
  3. Click on the icon   (located to the left of the donation) to "update billing information."
  4. Update your credit card information than scroll to the bottom of the page and click "submit."

Special Note: As of 12/06/2016 some users are not able to update their billing information AFTER the transaction has failed. Our provider is working on this glitch but no date has been given for a solution. Until a solution has been posted please call the office (617-848-0498) with your credit card information and we will update it for you.  Please note if you try to do it yourself from your donation profile you will be charged for the balance of your pledge.

Printing a receipt:

In our system a receipt and invoice are the same item.  Once an invoice is paid in full it will be marked as so and can be used as your receipt.  If you have made partial payments towards a pledge the payments have applied to your invoice marked with the date received.

 

There are many ways to print a receipt for your records. The symbol for the invoice/receipt is . Clicking on this symbol will open a new page where you can print your invoice/receipt. All of the below methods require you to be signed in to your account.  If you need assistance with your log in please contact the office.

  1. From the Donation History Page: This page has a list of every donation you have made to the UUMA (using a check or credit card)
  2. From the Invoice Page: This page lists all of your UUMA transactions (events, products, dues and donations).  Transactions are sorted by type (Store/Event, Dues, or Donations) and can be filtered by status (to see every transaction in any given category change the filter to Any Status).
