Countdown to Ministry Days: June 13, 2015

We can't wait to see you in Portland!

Hello Everyone!

The UUMA Board is very excited about this year's Ministry Days in Portland.  It's our best opportunity to see a large number of you all at once.   Even though we do have a little bit of information to share with you, we mostly want to hang out with as many of you as we can.  We want to know how your ministries are going; we want to hear your stories of both struggle and celebration.  We are especially looking forward to leading the opening worship, honoring milestones, conducting a forward-looking annual meeting, and listening to you during the "Collegial Conversations."   In the course of our few days together, please do feel free to start a conversation with any one of us. This first of two countdown emails will provide you with valuable information to help you make the most of our time together.

Wishing you safe, uncomplicated travels,

Rev. Jennifer Ryu, Vice President
UUMA Board of Trustees

Reminders from the Staff:

Don't Miss The Fun: The staff is super excited about the opening reception - we hope you will arrive in time to attend! Our theme is “the care and nurturing of ministers” and we have big plans to make you feel special. There will be Karaoke, Massage, Tarot Card Reading, a fantastic Photo Booth, Speed Networking, and quite space to reconnect with your colleagues.  Some of the events require an appointment.  Make sure to arrive early (7:30) to sign up!

Let Your Voice Be Heard: We are asking UUMA members to submit questions for the Board and/or Peter Morales for the Tuesday afternoon Q&A sessions. Please send your question to Don Southworth by Monday June 15. (questions will be asked anonymously.)

Lend A Helping Hand: Every year we count on the generous spirits of our members in volunteering their time at Ministry Days. Volunteering is a great way to meet colleagues and can be a lot of fun! If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up on the UUMA website: https://uuma.site-ym.com/?page=volunteer. Email Lindsey Nye with any questions or technical difficulties.

Be In The Know: We encourage you - if you haven't already - to spend some time reviewing the annual reports from the Board of Trustees, staff and UUMA committees. Click here to access all the information. Please let us know if you have any questions and or want some specific information in next Friday's countdown.
