BCD Connects will take place on October 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Middleboro, Massachusetts. There is no charge for this session, and breakfast is on us! Parking is available in the Town Hall Parking Lot across Nickerson Avenue from the church.
Our purpose is to strengthen and sustain the health of our congregations. To that end, we want to provide time to:
• Give us board members an opportunity to hear directly from you “owners” – What are your congregations excited about? What is working really well? What are your major spiritual needs? What kinds of programming, and other support, would be useful? How could a district board be helpful? Is the board needed?
• Support collaboration among congregations and provide an opportunity for networking. Explore programs and funding options available. After listening to responses, identify common themes and have board members facilitate focused group discussion. Share group highlights with the gathering as a whole.
• Affirm the deep gratitude we board members have for you who have stepped forward to be leaders.
• Get updates on our New England Region and our Unitarian Universalist Association.
This event is intended for all the leaders of district congregations to attend, together, as a team. It will be especially valuable for leaders in new roles. But leaders in all positions, from all congregations, may benefit and are warmly invited.
We look forward to seeing you,
The BCD Board
