The UUA is delighted to sponsor Finding Our Way Home 2017.
We will gather in Baltimore, Maryland from Wednesday, March 15th at 5:00pm until Saturday, March 18th at 1:00pm.
It is both a privilege and a delight to host this special, annual event for ministers, ministerial candidates, directors of religious education, directors of music, and administrators who identify as being “of African Descent, Caribbean, Native/American Indian, Asian and Pacific Islander, Latina/o and Hispanic, Middle Eastern/Arab, Multiracial and Multiethnic Unitarian Universalists.”
We gather to give each other the gifts of interconnectedness, community building, spiritual sustenance, and mutual support. We also give each other gifts of personal and professional development.
Our retreat theme is “Sanctuary and Solidarity.” We are very much in need of both in these trying and tender times. We are working hard to create and share a rich, interactive experience of spirituality and justice. Although we will have a well-mapped out agenda, we will not conduct official business during our time together.
I encourage each of you to carve out time in your busy schedules to be in community – your community.

Event Registration and Fees
In recent years, budget constraints have required us to charge registration fees for this event. This charge represents the bridge between what our retreat actually costs, and what the UUA has to spend.
Consider: General Assembly registration is about $350 for four days. A two-day conference in New York City can cost $250-300.
Subsidizing this retreat requires several adjustments in other areas of our budget. I encourage you to go above and beyond the minimum fee, if at all possible.

Hotel and Travel Arrangements
Our retreat hotel is the well-appointed Embassy Suites by Hilton - Baltimore Inner Harbor. The UUA covers room and tax.
You are welcome to book your transportation independently as an additional financial contribution to the retreat. The closest airport is Baltimore-Washington International (BWI).
If you would like your travel covered by the UUA, our policies dictate that you must book your flight through ProTravel International. Let them know you will be attending Finding Our Way Home 2017.
Note: If personal obligations require you to travel outside the retreat dates, you are responsible for arranging alternative lodging.
