PROGRAM

Leading Consciously Noticing, Setting Intention, Acting Responsibly: Ten Practices for Conscious Leadership

Our fall workshop will explore how leading consciously can contribute to our effectiveness in ministry. The workshop will be facilitated by Paul G. Ward, PhD. founder and president of Future Shapers Florida and a leader in the emerging field of conscious leadership. Paul will lead us through a mindfulness mediation followed by a presentation and individual and group exercises geared to helping us explore practices that will help us become more conscious leaders. Learning objectives include: • Increasing awareness, noticing what is going on around you • Getting clarity around purpose and intention • Improving decision-making aligned to personal, ministerial, and organizational purpose • Committing to acting responsibly • Learning practices that will lead to more conscious and effective leadership

PRESENTERS

Dr. Paul Ward, Founder and President of Future Shapers Florida, is a leadership and life coach, strategy execution consultant, adjunct professor, small business owner, and hot air balloon pilot. With a purpose built around taking people higher in spirit, in business, and in life, Paul helps people who are transforming themselves and their organizations. He has served leaders in large and small organizations in Europe and the Americas as coach, consultant, and high impact event facilitator during periods of major change. Paul’s interest in conscious leadership was born out of a passion for values-driven and servant leadership along with a belief in conscious business principles. Paul wants everyone to wake up eager to get to work and make a difference for their organization, their community, and the world.

MEALS

All meals will be provided at the Waterman facility, where almost any dietary or philosophical limitation can be accommodated by either personal choice (what one orders at lunch or serves oneself at dinner) or through arrangement with the kitchen. Upon request we will provide sample menus of what is planned for both the cafe and the dining room during our stay so you might see if this conforms with your dietary requirements. If it does not, please contact the Waterman kitchen directly to make arrangements with the chef (352-383-0051).

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are a few hotels in the area: Hampton Inn (352-383-4267) Quality Inn (352-383-3400) Lakeside Inn (352-383-4101). Contact them directly for rates and availability. People calling the Hampton Inn directly before September 10, can get a special rate by saying they are at with the Florida Ministers group and mentioning the confirmation #83428944. (I have booked a block of 10 rooms at a rate of $119/night.) For Quality Inn, it is best to book through the national website.
