Greetings, SEUUMA Colleagues!
Once again, it’s time to make plans to attend the SEUUMA Retreat at The Mountain, April 13-16, 2015.
To register, please go directly to The Mountain’s website, http://mountaincenters.org/pages/registration.php
and click on the Online Registration link. If you haven’t created a Mountain online account before, you will need to do that first. If you have a Mountain online account, you’ll need to log in with your username and password. Because they have a new registration system, you may need to re-enter in some basic information. The ‘camper’ reference means you! As you move through the registration forms, you will get to a screen that asks if you have a group registration ID. The answer is “No.” Check the box for “Retreat” and scroll down the list until you see SEUUMA Spring Retreat. Basic registration (including housing and meals) is $255.
In response to requests at the Fall SEUUMA meeting, the Spring program will combine a UUMA Mentor Training program along with more interpersonal, spiritual practice, and relaxation times. With that in mind, if you would like to offer a Spiritual Practice of some type on Tuesdayafternoon, from 4:00 – 5:15 pm, please email Alison Eskildsen (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let her know what you would like to offer and if you have any particular room requirements.
The Mentor Training will be facilitated by the Reverends Cheryl Walker and Mitra Jafarzadeh. Although the Mentor Training was designed to expand and strengthen a Minister’s skills to better assist ministerial candidates and those in Preliminary Fellowship, this program should be of value to any professional who may be mentoring candidates for Music or Religious Education Credentialing. All are invited to attend.
Also joining us for the Spring Retreat will be a member of the UUMA Executive team to speak with us about new initiatives and ongoing programs sponsored by the UUMA. While the UUMA Exec’s speak with the Ministers, LREDA and UUMN professionals may meet with their professional group, too.
Worship Opportunities! In keeping with previous retreat schedules, we will offer 30-minute morning and evening worship services each day. Please email Alison Eskildsen (email@example.com) to express your interest. If you have not offered a worship service recently, please volunteer! And, when you do, please indicate if you prefer a particular day and/or morning or evening time slot.
A complete schedule of activities will be sent to you closer to the Retreat date, but will be similar to previous retreats. We aim to balance social and educational time with spiritual and rejuvenation time. We are adding in some small group sharing time to help deepen our relationships, too.
It’s been a long, cold Winter. Let’s celebrate the coming of Spring together at The Mountain. Please make every effort to join us!
