2011 Membership Renewal System Updates

Posted By Janette M. Lallier, Wednesday, August 31, 2011
It's that time of year again!  Here are some updates we have made to the UUMA Online Renewal System:

  • Automatic Renewal:   If you used a credit card last year the system has automatically saved that information and is preparing to charge your card on Nov. 15. If your S&H has changed or if you wish for this to not happen please visit your Membership Info page and cancel the waiting transaction (click on the red x). Because we have begun to offer installment options this auto renew will not happen next year.

  • Pay by Installment:  You can now select to pay by installment when you renew online.  Depending upon when you renew the system will split your total bill into installments so that it can be paid by the end of the fiscal year (June30).  In September you can get 10 payments, October 9, etc.  You can pay by credit card or e-check.

  • Pay by E-Check:  This year you can now enter your banks routing and account numbers and have your dues deducted from your checking or savings account.

  • Don't forget about discount codes: If you are on the auto renew any discount code you used last year will not be applied.  If you wish to use a discount code please visit your Membership Info page and cancel the waiting transaction.  Just a reminder: If you belong to another professional organization which is necessary to your ministry you may use a discount code to deduct a portion of your dues. If you use a discount code please upload proof of your membership into your 'Files & Links' (also located under the My Profile Menu). Click here for a list of discount codes. Please note that if using a discount code brings your dues to less than the $167 minimum we as that you pay the minimum. You can do this online by submitting a donation of the difference. Or by selecting the minimum and making a comment.

Need a reminder on how to renew? Here are the quick and easy steps:
  1. Log in to your profile. (Forget your password? There is a link for that!)
  2. Go to Membership Info link under the ‘My Profile” menu
  3. Click 'Renew My Membership' **
  4. Select your membership level (based on Salary & Housing) and check your billing info.
  5. Select to pay in full or in installments.
  6. Select Bill-Me, Credit Card, or E-Check
  7. Bill-Me: Print the invoice on the confirmation screen and mail in a check or credit card number.
  8. Credit Card: Enter your credit card information.
  9. E-Check: Enter your banks account and routing information.
Are you a visual learner? We have a webcast to walk you through the renewal process. View the 5 minute presentation

2010 Renewal System Updates

Posted By Janette M. Lallier, Friday, October 1, 2010
Renewal System Updates:
  • Auto-Bill: ALL Members who renew online using a credit card will be set up for Auto-Bill. The auto bill will automatically charge your dues one year from the day you make your first renewal. If you renew on Sept 1 for 2010-11, the system will charge your card the same amount on Sept 1, 2011 for the 2011-12 year. If you wish to disable this you can easily do so through the membership info page (under the My Profile Menu).

  • Discount Codes: If you belong to another professional organization which is necessary to your ministry you may use a discount code to deduct a portion of your dues. If you use a discount code please upload proof of your membership into your 'Files & Links' (also located under the My Profile Menu). Click here for a list of discount codes. Please note that if using a discount code brings your dues to less than the $144 minimum we as that you pay the minimum. You can do this online by submitting a donation of the difference. Or by selecting the minimum and making a comment.

  • Payment Plans: The website is not set up to automatically do payment plans for dues. If you wish to have your dues broken into payments please use the 'Bill Me' option when renewing. Print the invoice and include a credit card number in the payment section. We will charge cards on the 15th of each month. Because all dues must be paid by June 30 your number of payments will be determined by the date we receive your renewal. (For example: If we receive it before Sept 15 you will have 10 payments). Sorry, but we can not accept checks in the payment plan.
You can now renew your membership through the UUMA.ORG website. To help with the process we have created the first UUMA webcast to walk you through it. Click Here to view the 5 minute presentation or follow these quick and easy steps:
  1. Log in to your member account.
  2. Navigate to the Membership Info link under the ‘My Profile” menu (located screen right).
  3. Click on Securely Renew My Membership.
  4. Select your membership level (based on Salary & Housing) and double check your billing information.
  5. Select Bill-Me or Pay by Credit Card.
  6. Bill-Me: Print the invoice on the confirmation screen and mail in a check or credit card number. Your membership will not be renewed until we receive and process your payment.
  7. Credit Card: Follow directions on how to enter your credit card information.

Chapter Subsidy and GOP Nomination Forms Posted

Posted By Janette M. Lallier, Monday, September 20, 2010
Over the weekend I was able to format and post forms for Chapters to request their annual $400 subsidy.  To qualify for the subsidy a chapter must confirm that their Chapter Leadership is correct on their group page (and report any updates) and see that their yearly retreat dates are posted on the UUMA Calendar.  Contact your Chapter Web Administrator or the UUMA Administrator for directions on how to do this.  Once all your information is correct just let us know where to send the check by sending an email or completing the form found at: https://uuma.site-ym.com/?ChapterSubsidy

I also transferred the GOP Nomination form.  Under the menu system this can be found under Resources: Resource Library: GOP Resources: GOP Nomination Form or directly by following this link: https://uuma.site-ym.com/?page=GOPNominations

Links to both forms have also been added to the Chapter Leader Group Webpage (visible only to Chapter Leaders).

Change in Member Profile Addresses

Posted By Janette M. Lallier, Wednesday, September 15, 2010
The member profiles have been changed to display only one preferred address.  This allows the office to better track member addresses in the Raisers Edge Database that is shared with the UUA.  When editing your profile please make sure that the address reflected is the address that you wish to receive mail from both the UUMA and UUA.
