2015 UUMA CENTER
Institute for Excellence in Ministry
February 2-6, 2015
Asilomar Conference Grounds
Pacific Grove, CA
Dive in…to the place
It’s a challenge to dive into the Pacific at Asilomar Conference Center; the water is cold and rocky, but you can dive into to beauty of California’s Central Coast. Dive into the experience of beach walks along the pounding surf, towering pines and wooded hills. Go kayaking, shopping, or whale watching. Play some golf. Dive into the attractions of the Monterey Peninsula; the towns of Pacific Grove and Carmel, the Aquarium, the shops and restaurants.
Dive in…to the time
At the Institute, we finally have the time, Away from the demands of our ministries, we have time for each other: time to talk about the important things, tie to study together, time to feel the power of the spirit in all as we worship together, time to sing together. We have time to share one on one, and time to build a dream in a small circle. Time to walk alone in the woods. Time to think and follow your thoughts to a decision. Time to let your thoughts go and be.
Dive in…to the Issues
Dive into some of the most important subjects for UU ministers to explore, and to explore together: building multi-cultural beloved community, responding to epochal civilizational change, preaching at the next level, leading religious institutions, creating sacred spaces, sustaining our selves in our work.
Dive in to the place, the time and the Issues that are
the UUMA CENTER Institute for Excellence in Ministry.
