CENTER Presenters Program for Chapters
Share |

CENTER is committed to recommending high quality continuing education programs for UUMA chapter/cluster meetings and retreats, usually in the form of a 6-12 hour workshop. CENTER provides subsidies for recommended programs and assistance grants for guest presenter programs.

CENTER Presenters

CENTER Presenters are workshop leaders chosen from inside and outside our collegial ranks, whose programs have been well reviewed by colleagues and that address current and widespread needs in ministry.

Funding is available for CENTER presenters for 2014-2015 (July to June), which includes up to $500 toward travel expense of bringing the presenter to the retreat, and up to $500 honorarium for the presenter. Reimbursements are per chapter per fiscal year. Chapters may apply for Presenter reimbursements every other year.  This is in addition to annual UUMA subsidies that chapters are encouraged to apply for every year.

2014-2015 is the last year that that we will offer separate funding for CENTER Presenters. In future years, chapters subsidies will be higher instead. We hope chapters will continue to use th money for continuing education.

To apply for funding for a CENTER Presenter for your chapter, contact Allison Palm, UUMA Program Assistant (programs@uuma.orgbefore contracting with the Presenter.

  • Additional funds required for presenter honoraria or travel costs are borne by the chapter/cluster.

  • Chapters may collaborate by conducting joint presentations (and receive up to $750 maximum per chapter).

  • Program and financial details are worked out between the chapter/cluster and the presenter.

  • CENTER reimburses the chapter/cluster for 50% of the subsidy before the program is completed and 50% only when electronic copies of summary evaluations and receipts are returned to CENTER

Guest Presenters

  • CENTER offers limited funding assistance (up to $500 for travel/honorarium) for chapters to bring in guest presenters who are not sponsored CENTER Presenters, as long as funds are available and evaluations are completed. Application instructions are the same as for sponsored CENTER Presenters.
