|CENTER Presenters Program for Chapters|
CENTER is committed to recommending high quality continuing education programs for UUMA chapter/cluster meetings and retreats, usually in the form of a 6-12 hour workshop. CENTER provides subsidies for recommended programs and assistance grants for guest presenter programs.
CENTER Presenters are workshop leaders chosen from inside and outside our collegial ranks, whose programs have been well reviewed by colleagues and that address current and widespread needs in ministry.
Funding is available for CENTER presenters for 2014-2015 (July to June), which includes up to $500 toward travel expense of bringing the presenter to the retreat, and up to $500 honorarium for the presenter. Reimbursements are per chapter per fiscal year. Chapters may apply for Presenter reimbursements every other year. This is in addition to annual UUMA subsidies that chapters are encouraged to apply for every year.
2014-2015 is the last year that that we will offer separate funding for CENTER Presenters. In future years, chapters subsidies will be higher instead. We hope chapters will continue to use th money for continuing education.
CENTER Presenter Funding – Application Instructions
To receive funding for a CENTER Presenter email/scan, or mail the following to Allison Palm (email@example.com):
Chapters are encouraged to apply for funding before contracting with a presenter, as funds are limited and approval is not guaranteed.
Upon receipt of all the above, the UUMA Program Assistant will arrange for a check to be sent to the chapter/cluster leader who is responsible for coordinating the presentation, and/or directly to the presenter.
